Our Schools

 

In a warm, homely environment Infanticare provides emotional security to a happy, stimulated child. We accommodate children from 3 months to 5 years of age.

 

The objective of Infanticare is to provide exclusive care, stimulation, and education

to all enrolled children in both Afrikaans and English. The school follows a stimulation program developed according to the age of the child as part of the daily activities.

OPERATIONAL HOURS

• Monday - Friday: 07:00 - 18:00

• December: We close on the 13th of December 2024 and reopen again on the    13th of January 2025

• Infanticare is closed on public holidays.

• June/ July Holidays: We are closed for one week only.

 

FINANCIAL INFORMATION

• Registration fee: A yearly registration fee is payable 

• Deposit: One month's school fees are payable with entry to secure a place is kept for your child.

• Full day: 07h00 - 18h00 

• Half day: 07h00 - 14h00

       Separate days a week: Full day and half day

Only three days or less per week are considered separate days in a week

•  Extracurricular activities: Playball, Ballet, 

       Cmaths, (Japanse Soroban maths) Witjassies (Science)

       are given by outside facilitators (Direct payment to these facilitators)

 

MEALS

• Two balanced meals a day (breakfast and lunch) are given

• Healthy snacks are provided by the parent each day

• We encourage children to drink water and no cooldrinks or juices

 

OTHER PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

- Optometry

- Audiology

- Dentistry (Dr.Toothlittle)

- Physiotherapy.

We will also refer children to professional services and therapy when necessary.

 

FEEDBACK OF CARE AND DEVELOPMENT

• Daily written feedback are given of babies (up to 12 months) in a small notebook.

• Two yearly detailed assessment reports are given of children (18 months - 5 years)

 

CARING OF SICK CHILDREN

• Parents are immediately notified when children are not well. 

• We prefer that sick babies and children do not attend school to prevent the spreading of contagious diseases.

 

INFANTICARE SCHOOL CLOTHING

• The following items are available to order:

-Infanti Golf Shirts

-Infanti Drimac

-Infanti sunhats

We prefer that the children wear Infanti clothes on our trips.

 

STAFF

• The staff ratio in the baby classes, up to 18 months is one assistant to four babies and a teacher.

  In the age of 18 months to 5 years, the ratio is five to six toddlers per caregiver and a teacher.

  All teaching staff are being appointed to their level of experience, or level of tertiary education. The total of learners per class in the age group from 18 months to 5 years are limited to 18 per class. In service training is offered to assistants and the training includes a nanny course, baby massage, first aid and CPR training, throughout the year.

• Attending training courses and seminars are expected of staff.

• An administrative person is appointed to run all aspects of our school.

• Household staff for maintenance of premises and cleaning/cooking services are important in our schools.
